Shinjuku is probably everyone's perception of Tokyo, with neon lights blazing, city skyscrapers and a station used by millions of people everyday. Shinjuku is clearly divided between the railway line - the office and sky scraper district is on the west side and the retail and entertainment district on the east side of the station. Shinjuku itself is a combination of different areas, including Tokyo's red light district: Kabukicho, Golden Gai and the gay district of ni-chome.
